KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The United Soccer Coaches announced the 2025 NCAA Division III All-Region teams, and Oneonta men's soccer had five members placed on the All-Region III Team. The five Red Dragons recognized were seniors
Zach Rabadi (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay),
Milton Mancias Magana (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck),
Luigi Prosperi (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook),
Sam Rogers (Broadalbin, N.Y./Broadalbin-Perth), and junior
Adrian Matute (Islip, N.Y./Islip). Rabadi earned First Team status, while Mancias Magana and Matute received Second Team honors. Prosperi was tabbed Third Team and Rogers was named to the Fourth Team.
"It's always great to see your players recognized by fellow coaches," said head coach
Iain Byrne. "The level of players in Division III soccer is as high as I can ever remember, and these awards highlight the quality of any player nominated."
It is the second time Mancias Magana (2023), Matute (2024), and Prosperi (2024) received All-Region honors, and the first for Rabadi and Rogers. Earlier this season, Rabadi was named to the SUNYACs All-Conference First Team, Mancias Magana, Matute and Prosperi earned Second Team, and Rogers made Third Team.Â
"We are proud of our recipients," Byrne continued. "They showed our returning players what is possible with the right attitude and dedication."
Rabadi started all 21 games for Oneonta as a midfielder and finished the year with two goals, and the team-high seven assists for 11 points. He netted a game-winning goal in conference play at Canton, while his other score was a penalty kick against Hamilton. In the SUNYAC tournament, Rabadi tallied an assist in all three games, two of which were on the game-winning goals at New Paltz and Buffalo State. He was later named to the All-Tournament team.
Mancias Magana started 18 of the 19 games he appeared in as a winger and ended the season with five goals and four assists for 14 points. In SUNYAC play, he scored three goals, including a brace against Oswego, and an assist for seven points. Mancias Magana continuously pressured opponents during the conference tournament with three shots on goal, and he registered an assist in the semifinals against Cortland.
Matute was a starter for the Red Dragons in 16 of the 17 games he appeared in and logged 1,446 minutes as a center back. The junior captain was a main piece on the defensive backline that limited opponents to 4.67 shots on goal per game, 1.00 goal per game, and totaled eight shutouts this season, six of which were against SUNYAC opponents. Matute played every minute during the conference tournament.
Prosperi started 19 of the 20 games he played in as a striker for Oneonta and registered five goals and four assists this season for 14 points. He netted the game-winner for the Red Dragons against Hartwick, and recorded a goal with two assists in the regular season against conference opponents. In the SUNYAC playoffs, he scored a brace in the semifinals against Cortland and tallied an assist in the first round at New Paltz.
Rogers started 20 of the 21 games he appeared in and finished the season with six goals and four assists for 16 points. He scored a pair of game-winning goals against Rensselaer in the regular season and versus New Paltz in the playoffs. The Red Dragon winger led the team in the first round of the SUNYAC tournament with a hat trick against the Hawks, then he followed it up with an assist at Cortland in the semifinals. Rogers' performance in the playoffs got him named to the conference's All-Tournament Team.
The Red Dragons finished the 2025 season with a 12-5-4 overall record and were crowned the SUNYAC Tournament Champions for the program's 13th conference title. Oneonta earned an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament, where they came up short to Babson in the Round of 64. The team's coaching staff was named the SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year, with seven All-Conference selections and five All-Region members.
