ITHACA, N.Y. -- The SUNY Oneonta women's tennis team fell in their road match against Ithaca, 9-0, Monday afternoon. The Red Dragons moved to 9-9 on the season while the Bombers improved to 6-6.
Sophomore
Danielle Copp (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) and freshman
Haley Peck (West Point, N.Y./James I. O'Neil) had the closest match in doubles play and were defeated on the No. 2 court by Maddie Sutro and Ava Casell-Lepetina, 8-3. Senior
Illana Ger (Levittown, N.Y./MacArthur) and freshman
Kelly Hayes (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook) were bested by Eliana Chelnick and Aenessa Rylski on the No. 3 doubles court, 8-2. Senior
Brianna Shaw (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) dropped the No. 2 singles match against Kendall Curley, 6-2, 6-3. Both Holtermann and Copp fell in their singles matches by straight 6-1 sets on the No. 1 and No. 3 court, respectively.
Oneonta's next match is on Friday, April 19, at Rutgers-Camden at 3 pm.
