ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The SUNY Oneonta women's tennis team fell in their spring season opener to RIT, 7-2, Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons are now 9-6 overall while the Tigers improved to 3-0.

Julia Holtermann (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) and
Brianna Shaw (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) defeated Jackie Drozd and Abbie Murray on the No. 1 doubles court, 8-6.
Shaw also defeated Gabby Donohue in her singles match on the No. 2 court in a third set tie break. Shaw took set one, 6-2, before Donohue tied the match with a 6-4 second set. Shaw won the tie breaker 10-5.
The Red Dragons are back in action Saturday for a match at St. Lawrence at 12 pm.
