ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's swimming & diving team placed third out of five at Sunday's Hartwick Relays. The Red Dragons finished with 464 points, while Hartwick won with 718.
Oneonta opened the 25-event meet with a second-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay. Seniors Cadence Dudley (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta), Anna McCall (Ligonier, PA/Ligonier Valley), Lena Nakken (Islip, NY/Islip), and sophomore Alexandria Bard (Schenectady, NY/Duanesburg) combined for 4:33.46.
The trio of Bard, junior Alyssa Thompson (Montgomery, NY/Valley Central), and sophomore Alaska Lilliock (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) took fourth in the 300-yard backstroke relay at 3:32.35. Oneonta took fifth in the 850-yard relay crescendo, with senior Callie Stinson (Alexandria, VA/West Potomac), Nakken, Thompson, and sophomore Ashley Brousseau (Peru, NY/Peru Central) swimming 10:13.17.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, junior Allison LaBarbera (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook), freshman Alexis Ginson, Stinson, and Lilliock touched second overall at 1:46.34. The Red Dragons took fifth in the 600-yard IM relay. McCall, Dudley, and Nakken finished at 7:56.20. Oneonta continued with a fourth-place performance in the 200-yard medley relay. Sophomore Raina Willie (Stony Brook, NY/Ward Melville Senior), Bard, LaBarbera, and Stinson recorded a time of 2:10.26.
The relay group of Gibson, LaBarbera, Lilliock, and Nakken posted a 3:57.63 to take second in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
In the one-meter dive, junior Macayla Hodkinson (Bethpage, NY/Bethpage) placed fifth with 166.90 points and was fourth in the three-meter dive at 174.55 points.
Oneonta next travels to face Oswego in dual meet action on Sat. Oct. 19 at 1 p.m.
