BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's swimming & diving team concluded the third day of the SUNYAC Championships on Friday evening, with the Red Dragons standing at fourth overall with 224 points. Cortland leads the meet with 659 points.
The Red Dragons saw freshman Mary Bush (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) open the swimming events with a 14th-place performance in the 100-yard butterfly finals at 1:06.97. Senior Alli LaBarbera (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) placed seventh in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:05.32, while junior Alexandria Bard (Duanesburg, NY/Duanesburg) took 12th at 2:06.22. Sophomore Kaidyn Thompson (Montgomery, NY/Valley Central) swam a 2:10.21 for 14th place.
In the 100-yard breaststroke, freshman Sydney Richards (Rochester, NY/Ruben A. Cirillo) posted a 1:12.45 for tenth overall. Junior Raina Willie (Stony Brook, NY/Ward Melville Senior) went for 16th place at 1:21.85.
Bard continued with a 14th-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:08.36.
Oneonta wrapped up the day by taking seventh in the 400-yard medley relay with Bard, Bush, Thompson, and Alaska Lilliock (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy) recording a time of 4:32.89.
Oneonta concludes the SUNYAC Championships on Saturday, February 21, at 10 a.m. Â
