WEST POINT, N.Y. -- The SUNY Oneonta women's tennis team dropped a neutral site SUNYAC match to New Paltz, 9-0, Wednesday evening. The Red Dragons are now 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in the SUNYAC while the Hawks are 1-0 in the conference and overall. Â

Hailey O'Connor (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) and
Haley Peck (West Point, N.Y./James I. O'Neil) came up short on the No. 3 doubles court in a tough match against Tatiana Barnett and Nina Genzone, 6-8. On the No. 1 court, seniors
Brianna Shaw (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) and
Sophia Schutte (Great Neck, N.Y./Great Neck) fell to Justine Stanejko and Loretta Donovan, 3-8.
Peck competed against Donovan on the No. 5 court in singles play, where Donovan won in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. Senior
Julia Holtermann (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) dropped straight sets on the No. 1 court to Stanejko, 1-6, 3-6. Â
The Red Dragons return to action on Monday for a road match against RPI at 3:30 pm.
