A Quick look
Host and top seeded Oswego led wire-to-wire in defeating SUNY Oneonta 81-60 in the 2022 SUNYAC men's basketball championship game. With the loss, Oneonta's season comes to an end at 18-9 while the Lakers earn the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III tournament.
Â
"Sometimes it's just not your night," said Head Coach
Cameron Conover. "I thought our guys played extremely hard, but it seemed like there was a lid on the basket tonight. We got good shots early, but they wouldn't fall. Give credit to Oswego, they played well, and we knew it was going to be a tough game and that we would have to shoot the ball well to win. It hurts losing in the championship game, but our guys have a lot to be proud of."
Â
Conover continued, "We will miss Sean, Kameron, and Taylor, but the future is bright, and we will keep pushing forward. I had so much fun coaching these men and it was awesome to see their growth throughout the season."
