GENESEO, N.Y. - The Oneonta men's cross country team wrapped up action at Saturday morning's Mike Woods Invitational, with the Red Dragons placing 14th out of 24 teams. Junior
Jonthomas Bierman (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) ran a personal record for the second meet in a row and finished the 8k course at 25:59.4 for 34th overall. Â
Case Western won the meet with 62 points, while Franklin Pierce's Wondu Summa won the individual title with a time of 24:40.4.
After Bierman, junior
Eion McClain (Andover, NJ/Pope John XXIII) was the next Red Dragon. He placed 54th with a personal best time of 26:17.2. First-year
Owen Sullivan (Huntington, NY) followed at 26:50.5, which was good for 96th place. Junior
Luke Jarski (Massapequa, NY/Massapequa) dropped nearly 30 seconds off his personal best, running a 27:18.9 for 122nd.Â
Senior
Cameron O'Connell (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) posted a 27:49.6, and senior Justin Murrillo ran a 28:56.8. Junior John Balk was Oneonta's seventh finisher and crossed the line at 28:58.0.Â
Oneonta has a few days off before it competes at the Delhi Bronco Weekday 5k on Tues. Oct. 4 at 5 p.m.
