The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team fell to Rochester University 2-0 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at All College field. The loss drops the Red Dragons record to 1-3 on the year while the Yellow Jackets improve to 3-1.
The Inside Story
After a scoreless first half, Rochester finally got on the board in the 44
th minute when Karina Bridger slipped a pass to Nikki Mercer for her team leading fourth goal of the season. The Yellow Jackets put the game out of reach with 40 seconds remaining when Amanda Strenk scored into the top right corner on a penalty stroke.
