Memories as a Student Athlete
My most memorable moments from my time as a student-athlete were bus rides with my teammates, our spring trips to Florida, and beating Wabash College with
Riley Smith (Westhampton Beach/Westhampton Beach) in doubles under the lights in Florida.

Personal Reflection
This school changed my life. As a person that came here from out of state, I didn't know anybody coming in. The tennis team was an instant family to me. It was so incredibly easy to make friendships that will last me a lifetime at this school, due to its caring community. Oneonta is a special place. These years fly by, and you can only say that when you're a senior. It's nuts. I'm going to miss this place a ton, but I realize the people will always be there. If I could leave any student athlete with any possible advice, I'd say this. Network. Network as hard as you possibly can. Join clubs. Join Greek life. Join it all. You don't want to leave here with any regrets, I sure didn't. It's about who you know, not what you know at the end of the day. Special shoutout to Lonnie and the men's tennis team, we're all Red Dragons for life.

Head Tennis Coach Lonnie Mitchel said,
"Ben was a solid contributor during his time at SUNY Oneonta. Mostly as a doubles specialist he was a mainstay in the lineup for the better part of his career. Ben emerged as a caring individual looking out after his teammates. He was appointed a captain in his senior year leading the team throughout the pandemic in a very trying year."
