ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Oneonta men's tennis team put two student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, as announced Tuesday morning. Junior Chris Chippari (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) grabs the honor for the second time, while sophomore Jaden Ritterman (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains) earns it for the first time.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Ritterman took All-WIAC singles recognition and finished the year with an 8-9 overall record. He posted five wins at No. 3 singles and was 9-9 at No. 2 doubles. Ritterman is a professional accounting major with a 3.8 cumulative GPA.
Chippari was an All-WIAC Singles and doubles honoree this season, playing primarily at the No. 1 position. He finished the season with a 6-9 singles record and was 11-7 in doubles play. Chippari studies adolescence educucation with a mathematics focus while carrying a 3.59Â GPA.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve on the team with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution. Eligible nominees need to be in the lineup for 70-percent of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.
