The SUNY Oneonta women's track & field team participated in the Cortland Conference Qualifier today as its final meet prior to the SUNYAC championship meet this coming Friday and Saturday at Cortland.

The Inside Story
Posting first place finishes in individual events for the Red Dragons were senior
Olivia Bonadies (Mount Kisco/Horace Greeley), junior
Ivana Lopez (Thiells/North Rockland) and sophomore
Ella DePhillips (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury). Both Bonadies and Lopez remained undefeated in their respective events during the spring season, the 800-meter run and the 100-meter hurdles. DePhillips ran a personal best time of 4:55.78 in winning the 1500-meter run.

Lopez also had a second place finish in the 200-meter dash.

Senior
Victoire Omou (Glen Ridge, NJ/Glen Ridge) had a busy day competing in three individual events. She started her day with a third place finish in the 100-meter dash, before finishing fifth in the 200 and finishing her day with a second place in the long jump recording a personal best mark of 5.27 meters (17'-3 ½").

Other athletes who posted personal best performances included juniors
Katherine Corona (Merrick/Calhoun) and
Eva Zepeda (North Babylon/North Babylon) and sophomore
Hannah Murdock (Sherman/Sherman). Corona's performance came in the 400-meter hurdles (1:20.26). Zepeda's PR came in the pole vault (2.50m, 8'-2 ½"). Murdock's best performance was in the javelin (27.63m, 90'-7").
