Oneonta, NY - The SUNY New Paltz Hawks were too much for the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons men's swimming and diving squad overwhelming the home squad with a 121-83 score.

Notable highlights for the Red Dragons were recorded though when junior Christopher Costanzo (Staten Island/Susan E. Wagner) recorded a victory in the 200 yard freestyle timing in at 1:52.29 less than a second ahead of the New Paltz runner-up.  Junior Shane Mills (Highland Mills/Monroe-Woodbury) also had a win of his own in the 50 yard freestyle at a pace of 23.49 edging out the Hawks runner-up by only .03 seconds. 

The 200 yard butterfly had a winner and runner-up recorded in the Red Dragons favor when seniors Scott Richardson (Canandaigua/Canandaigua Academy) and Jared Ciccarelli (Staten Island/Tottenville) were one and two respectfully with 2:06.04 recorded for the victor just over a second ahead.   This was the last win recorded on the day from Oneonta.

Next up is a home meet v SUNY Cortland which will take place on Saturday, February 1st with a start time of 1 PM.  The matchup will be contested in the Chase PE Pool.
