The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team fell to Gwynedd Mercy 3-2 in overtime Saturday afternoon in non-conference action. The loss evens the Red Dragons record at 2-2.

The Inside Story
After Gwynedd took a 1-0 lead 5:47 into the game, Oneonta knotted the game at 1-1 in the second quarter when Emily Raymond (Deposit/Deposit) scored off a corner.
Gwynedd Mercy took the lead 13:47 into the second half on an Alyssa Tomsic goal. The Red Dragons respond 2:05 later when Colleen Geyer (West Nyack/Clarkstown South) scored off a corner, tying the game at 2-2.
The Griffins won the game 1:30 into overtime when Allison Campbell scored on a breakaway.

Just the Stats
Gwynedd Mercy outshot Oneonta by a slim 7-6 margin. The Red Dragons also held a 12-6 lead in penalty corners. Oneonta goalie Kristy Campana made three saves in the loss.

The Red Dragons will look to get back on track on Wednesday, September 11th when they travel to Houghton College at 7:00pm.
