The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team got back on track with a 3-1 victory over Houghton College Wednesday evening. The win ups the Red Dragons record to 3-2 on the year.
The Inside Story
Oneonta jumped on the board just 2:30 into the game when 
Alise Anson (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) tallied her first goal of the season. Anson added to the Oneonta lead two minutes later on a feed from 
Colleen Geyer (West Nyack/Clarkstown South).
 
The Highlanders would score 5:47 into the second quarter to pull within striking distance. 
Colleen Geyer (West Nyack/Clarkstown South) gave the Red Dragons some breathing room when she tallied her second goal of the season eight minutes into the third quarter.
Just the Stats
Oneonta held a dominating 27-2 advantage in shots, with 15 of them being on cage. The Red Dragons didn't allow Houghton to take a single shot in three out of four quarters.
What's Next
The Red Dragons return to action on Wednesday, September 18th when they travel to Misericordia University to battle the Cougars at 7:00pm.
