The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team fell to Kean University 7-1 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at All College Field. The loss drops Oneonta's record to 3-4 on the year.
The Inside Story
Kean jumped out to a comfortable lead early with a pair of first quarter goals. The Cougars added to their advantage two more makers early in the second. Oneonta finally got on the board 20:09 into the game when Alise Anson (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) gathered a pass from Cali Cortese (Yorktown Heights/Lakeland), finally pushing it across the goal line after a defensive save.
Kean would go on to score three more goals in the third period to put the game out of reach.Â

Kean outshot the Red Dragons 24-8 for the game. Oneonta got defensive saves from Emily Lutz (Carle Place/Carle Place) and Carly Waszckak to keep the Red Dragons in the game early on.
