The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team defeated Misericordia University 2-1 in non-conference action Wednesday evening at All College Field. The win lifts the Red Dragons record to 3-4 while the Cougars slide to 0-7.

Emily Raymond (Deposit/Deposit) tallied her third goal of the season in the 44
th minute when she put back a rebound in front, giving the Red Dragons a 1-0 advantage. Oneonta extended their lead to 2-0 in the 52
nd minute.
Carissa Warren (Harpursville/Harpursville) centered a pass to
Allyson Wells (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) who used a sweep-shot to put the ball past Misericordia goalkeeper Katelyn Campbell.
The Cougars cut the deficit in half when Madisyn Granoski scored on a penalty corner in the 60
th minute. Misericordia had their chances to tie it in the final minutes but the Red Dragons held on for the 2-1 victory.

Danell Jones (Whitney Point/Whitney Point) made four saves to even her record to 3-3 on the year.

rd when travel to Rowan University for a 1:00 p.m. start.
