The doubles portion of the dual match was very close on two of the three courts. Junior
Cole Laffitte (East Setauket/Ward Melville) matched up again with sophomore
Nicholas Fox (Commack/Commack) and was dominant in the number two position cruising to an 8-2 win. At number three doubles junior
Zach Lasky (Latham/Colonie) and freshman
Marco Ammirati (Huntington/Huntington) continued their winning ways. They went up a break and were leading 6-3 but the Ursinus duo broke back and actually went up 7-6. However, the Red Dragon pair ran off the next three games and secured the victory giving the Red Dragons a 2-1 lead after doubles play.

Joseph D'Orazio (Smithtown/Smithtown) at number two singles won his match in three sets serving it out to clinch 6-0, 2-6, 6-3. Ammarati got a rare start in singles today playing in the third flight and performed admirably but lost 1-6, 6-3, 2-6. At the number four position Laffitte won the first set easily but his opponent settled down and took the second set but Laffitte found his rhythm again in the third set and won the match by breaking serve, the final score being 6-0, 3-6, 6-3.
