Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 The SUNY Oneonta women's volleyball team competed at the Union Invitational this weekend, dropping matches to Ramapo and Middlebury last night and splitting with Skidmore and Williams Today.  The Red Dragons came away 1-3 for the two-day event with Williams being its lone win.

In the first match against Ramapo, the two squads battled to five sets with Ramapo coming out on top 3-2. Senior Kassidy Kievit (Cincinnatus/Cincinnatus Central) had 11 kills and classmate Jessica Pelaccio (Verplanck/Hendrick Hudson) contributed 25 assists to lead the Red Dragons.

In the second match, the Red Dragons would get swept 3-0 by a strong Middlebury team. The match leaders for the Red Dragons were senior Paige Carpluck with seven kills, and J. Pelaccio with 12 assists.

Today, the Red Dragons would bounce back and take the first match of the day against Williams, Carpluck had 13 kills to lead the Red Dragons. Right behind her was senior Ericka Corbin with eight. J.Pelaccio would lead the Red Dragons with 21 assists, and freshman Jessica Fowler (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills) had 15. Freshman Lindsay Pelaccio (Verplanck/Hendrick Hudson) would have a match high 24 digs. In the last match of the invitational, the Red Dragons would get swept against Skidmore.

SUNY Oneonta's Paige Carpluk (Yaphank/Bellport) was selected to the All-Tournament team.

The Red Dragons are back in action at the Ducks Classic Invitational at Stevens Institute next weekend. The first match will be at 6pm against New York University on Friday, September 16^th .
