Box Score Oneonta, NY – The SUNY Oneonta Men's Tennis team made it an even dozen wins in a row and for the second consecutive day they tallied a shutout of their opponent. The No. 1 doubles tandem of freshman
Nicholas Fox (Commack/Commack) and junior
Michael Nelson (Manhasset/Manhasset) dropped only two games in their 8-2 win. Highlighting the match was Fox's crisp command of the net and lightening quick hands as the Raptors could not hit anything past the duo. Number two doubles found freshmen
Andrew Emanuel (Rye/Rye) and
Joseph D'Orazio (Smithtown/Smithtown) completely overwhelming as they did not drop a game and broke their opponents four consecutive times. Their net game was relentless and commanding in their 8-0 shutout. The win makes it nine in a row for the freshman pair. Sophomore
Timmy Distler (Amityville/St. John the Baptist) and senior
Joseph Morris (Bainbridge/Sidney Senior High School) continue to gel as a doubles tandem and today was their sixth consecutive victory highlighted by their 8-3 triumph.
Again the Red Dragons held a commanding 3-0 lead going into singles competition. Three players handed the Bard College Raptors double bagels with flawless play.
