Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The SUNY Oneonta men's tennis team split a pair of weekend matches to put its record for the year at 6-8 overall.  The Red Dragons defeated Hunter College yesterday at the US Tennis Center, 9-0, before falling at home today to Wheaton College 6-3.
 
Winners against Hunter included senior Michael Kennelly, junior Mackenzie Park, senior Benjamin Leighton, junior Matthew Richards, senior Ryohei Nakamura and sophomore Damien Prohaska in singles play.
 
Kennelly and Park won at first doubles, Leighton and Richards won at second doubles and Prohaska and freshman James Garzia (Marcellus/Marcellus) won at third doubles.
 
In today's match, Oneonta came through the doubles ahead, 2-1, but managed only one victory in singles play.  Kennelly and Park won again at first doubles, 8-3, while Leighton and Richards battled to pull out an 8-6 win at second doubles.  Kennelly was the lone winner for the Red Dragons at first singles.
 
Oneonta is scheduled to be at home again this Wednesday versus Rensselaer beginning at 4pm.
