Box Score The SUNY Oneonta men's tennis team won its second straight match yesterday when they defeated St. John Fisher College, 6-3, on the road. The Red Dragons are now 5-13 overall while the Cardinals fell to 3-10.
Oneonta came through the doubles portion of the match with a 2-1 advantage. Junior Michael Kennelly and sophomore Mackenzie Park won, 8-4, at first doubles while senior Adam Slifkin and junior Benjamin Leighton won, 8-1, at second doubles.
Leighton, Park and Slifkin also came back to grind out wins at second, third and fourth singles respectively that clinched the victory for the Red Dragons. All three players came back to win after losing the first set.
Kennelly was the final singles winner for Oneonta, as he won in straight sets at first singles.
Oneonta will be back in action again tomorrow at The College of New Jersey beginning at 2:30pm.
