Box Score The SUNY Oneonta women only surrendered one set yesterday in sweeping through its rival from SUNY Cortland, 9-0, on the road.  The highlight of the match was senior Danielle Browarski (Colonie/Colonie) recording her 40th career victory in singles play, as she did so in straight sets at first singles.

Besides her singles victory, Browarski also picked up a win at first doubles with her partner, Brynn Sussman (Highland Mills/Monroe-Woodbury) against Shannon Grodotzke and Dilara Kumbul, 8-1.  Sussman also won at second singles in straight sets against Kumbul.

The final four singles winners for Oneonta were juniors Colette Lankowicz (Sayville/Sayville) and Emily Maggiore (Binghamton/Binghamton) and freshmen Michelle Spencer (Homer/Homer) and Riane Reithel (Penfield/Webster Schroeder).  Maggiore and Lankowicz were also victorious at second doubles.

The tandem of Kelly Gochan (Lake Grove/Sachem North) and Abigail Smith (Seneca Falls/Mynderse Academy) won third doubles over Mary Kopcienski and Kristen Snelders, 8-6.

The women will close out its 2012-13 schedule at home next Thursday when they play Union College beginning at 4pm.
