The SUNY Oneonta women's tennis run in the SUNYAC tournament ended today with a 5-0 loss to SUNY Geneseo in the semifinals of the event being held at the Binghamton Tennis Center.  The match ends Oneonta's fall schedule, as they completed an 8-4 record overall in dual matches.

Geneseo swept through the doubles to begin the match 3-0.  The closest match was at second doubles, as the senior duo of Emily Maggiore (Binghamton/Binghamton) and Colette Lankowicz (Sayville/Sayville) fell, 8-5, to the sister duo of Minxuan and Dexuan Yuan of Geneseo.

In singles action, Geneseo clinched the match with wins at fourth and fifth singles.  The other four matches went unfinished including third singles where Oneonta senior Lauren Skolnick (Sayville/Sayville) was up 1-0 in the second set after dropping the first set 6-4.

Oneonta's opening match of the spring season will be on Friday, Mar. 7 at Division I Colgate University.
