Box Score The SUNY Oneonta women's tennis team completed its week on Saturday with a 7-2 win at Farmingdale. The win, capped a 3-0 week for the Red Dragons and raised its dual-match record to 5-3.
Oneonta swept through the doubles portion of the match to jump out to a 3-0 lead. The junior duo of
Colette Lankowicz (Sayville/Sayville) and
Emily Maggiore (Binghamton/Binghamton) didn't surrender a point en route to an 8-0 win at third doubles.
Senior
Danielle Browarski (Colonie/Colonie) and junior
Lauren Skolnick (Sayville/Sayville) picked up an 8-5 win at first doubles while sophomore
Brynn Sussman (Highland Mills/Monroe-Woodbury) and junior
Abigail Smith (Seneca Falls/Mynderse Academy) won at second doubles, 8-1.
In singles play, it was Skolnick, Maggiore, Lankowicz and Smith that captured wins at third through sixth singles. All wins came in straight sets including Lankowicz not surrendering a point at fifth singles.
Oneonta will have 10 days off before hosting city rival Hartwick on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 4pm.
