Box Score 4 The Oneonta State men and women's tennis teams spent last week in Orlando, Fla. training and competing as they opened the spring portion of their schedule. The men played four matches and came away with an even 2-2 split while the women dropped all three of its matches on the trip.
Both squads will be in action on Saturday at Oswego for dual matches that begin at noon.

Monday, Mar. 19 vs. Colorado College - Box Score
Colorado College 5, Oneonta 4
The men lost a close match to open its week in Orlando, Fla. Oneonta got wins at 3rd doubles while winning at 3rd, 4th and 5th singles. Senior Joey Milstein was a double winner on the day for Oneonta. He won at 4th singles in straight sets (6-2, 6-0) and was the one half of the 3rd doubles team with Adam Slifkin that posted an 8-6 win.
Wednesday, Mar. 21 vs. North Central - Box Score
Oneonta 8, North Central 1
The Red Dragons swept through the doubles and won five of the six singles matches to post the lopsided victory. Double winners for Oneonta included, David Goldberg, Mackenzie Park, Adam Shapiro, Adam Slifkin and Joshua Slifkin.
Friday, Mar. 23 vs. Whitworth - Box Score
Whitworth 6, Oneonta 3
Shapiro and Joshua Slifkin won at second doubles, 8-3. Shapiro recorded a win at 3rd singles in straight sets while Slifkin won at 6th singles in three sets.
Saturday, Mar. 24 vs. Bethel - Box Score
Oneonta 8, Bethel 1
Shapiro and Slifkin won again at second doubles, 8-6, while Adam Slifkin and Milstein won at third doubles, 8-7. The Red Dragons swept through all six singles matches for the 8-1 final.

The Red Dragons opened its spring trip with a set back to Colorado College. Danielle Browarski and Lauren Skolnick posted the lone point in the match at first doubles.
Tuesday, Mar. 20 vs. Hamilton - Box Score
Hamilton 7, Oneonta 2
Browarski paced the Red Dragons in defeat with a win at first singles in straight sets (6-2, 6-2) while posting a win with her partner Skolnick 8-6.
Saturday, Mar. 24 vs. Bethel - Box Score
Bethel 6, Oneonta 3
Browarski and Skolnick were winners again at first doubles, 8-6. Browarski won in straight sets at first singles, 6-3, 6-2 while Brandy McDermott won in three sets at sixth singles, 3-6, 6-2, 10-5.
