The Oneonta State men's tennis team opened its 2012 spring season with a 9-0 sweep of Elmira College yesterday.  The Red Dragons surrendered only 13 points en route to the shutout that raised its overall dual-match record to 6-2 on the year.

The win for Oneonta was also the first collegiate win for interim coach Lonnie Mitchel.  Mitchel took over for Bill May, who left Oneonta in February to take over the tennis programs at Southeastern University in Florida.

Oneonta will now travel south to Orlando, Fla. for its spring break trip beginning Sunday.  The Red Dragons are scheduled to play four matches while in the sunshine state beginning on Monday, Mar. 19 versus Colorado College.
