Dylan Williams (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) proved to be the difference today as Oneonta (7-3-1/4-1 SUNYAC) won its third straight game. The Red Dragons have also won seven of its last eight contests.
Williams' goal came in the 38th minute with an assist from senior
Jeff Christian (Middletown/Minisink Valley). Williams was there to collect a rebound of a shot by Christian. It was Williams' second goal of the season.
Oneonta held a huge advantage in shots in today's match 17-7. Potsdam goalkeeper Joseph Glackin kept his team in the contest with 10 saves.
Freshman keeper
Colan Balkwell (Schaghticoke/Hoosic Valley) made five saves in goal for Oneonta, as he remained perfect in his rookie season at 5-0 while picking up his second shutout.
Oneonta will be on the road tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Plattsburgh for a 1pm kickoff.
