FREDONIA, NY—The Oneonta State women's tennis team surrendered only 22 points in singles and 30 points overall en route to a season opening 9-0 victory at Fredonia this afternoon. Junior captain Danielle Browarski (Colonie/Colonie) (Colonie/Colonie) didn't lose a point at first singles in her straight set win. She also paired with fellow captain, sophomore Lauren Skolnick (Sayville/Sayville) (Sayville/Sayville) to win at first doubles 8-1.

Skolnick also won at third singles, 6-1, 6-3. Newcomers Brynn Sussman (Highland Mills/Monroe-Woodbury) (Highland Mills/Monroe-Woodbury) and Colette Lankowicz (Sayville/Sayville) (Sayville/Sayville) were victorious in their collegiate opening matches at second and sixth singles respectively. The two also were winners at second doubles, 8-3.

ROCHESTER, NY—The Oneonta State women's tennis team overwhelmed the Cardinals today by a score of 7-1. The only loss for the Red Dragons came at second doubles, 8-6.

Browarski and Skolnick were double winners for Oneonta. Both won in straight sets at first and third singles respectively while taking first doubles, 8-3.

Sussman, Lankowicz, Emily Maggiore (Binghamton/Binghamton) (Binghamton/Binghamton) and Jennifer Wlodarczyk (Avoca/Avoca Central) (Avoca/Avoca Central) were all victorious in singles action for the Red Dragons.
