ONEONTA, N.Y.—The SUNY Oneonta men's tennis team dominated and swept through the visiting Dutchmen of Union College today in its final home match of the 2010-11 year. The win for the Red Dragons raises its overall record in dual matches for the year to 8-5. The loss for Union drops them to 1-7 overall.

Juniors Adam Shapiro and Joshua Slifkin won their singles matches in straight straights without surrendering a single point at second and third singles respectively. Senior John Taft only dropped one point in a straight set win at fifth singles versus Chris Moore while freshman Michael Kennelly lost only two points in his straight set victory at first singles against Shaun Champaneria.

Kennelly and Taft also paired together to win 8-4 at second doubles over Mike Kanner and Saul Kurtz.

Oneonta will travel to Florida for training next week during the Easter break at the college.
