Oneonta,NY- The Oneonta State women's tennis team bounced back after their loss to Geneseo to defeat Brockport with confidence 8-1. The Red Dragons took five of six singles points and took all three of the points in the doubles matches.

Jackie Daly (Voorheesville/Voorheesville) came up just short losing the first set 4-6, coming back to win the second set 6-2, but falling again in the third set for the Red Dragons only loss at #6 singles. Dana Denenberg (Corlandt Manor/Hendrick Hudson), Carly Fried (Somers/Somers), and Lauren Skolnick (Sayville/Sayville) each picked up wins at #3, #4 and #5 singles, respectively. Emily Shannon (East Northport/Northport) defeated her opponent by scores of 6-1, 6-0 to claim her second win at #2 singles and Danielle Browarski (Colonie/Colonie) earned her third victory at #1 singles.

Browarski and Shannon picked up the victory at #1 doubles to push their overall wins at four thus far on the season. Also picking up victories in doubles action were the duos of Carly Smith (Binghamton/Binghamton) and Fried as well as Elizabeth Flamman (Setauket/Ward Melville) and Skolnick.

Oneonta will play its last conference match of the season travelling to Oswego Saturday September 25th beginning at 1:00 p.m.
