The Oneonta State women's tennis team defeated Elmira on the road to pick up their second victory of the season. The Red Dragons took five of six singles points and took all three of the points in the doubles matches to win 8-1.

Carly Fried (Somers), Emily Maggiore (Binghamton) and Lauren Skolnick (Sayville) each picked up their first wins at #4, #5 and #6 singles, respectively.  Emily Shannon (East Northport) defeated her opponent by scores of 6-0, 6-0 to claim her second win at #2 singles and Danielle Browarski (Colonie) earned her third victory at #1 singles.

Carly Smith (Binghamton) and Fried picked up the victory at #1 doubles to push their overall wins at three thus far on the season. Also picking up victories in doubles action were the duos of Elizabeth Flamman (Setauket) and Skolnick as well as Dana Denenberg (Corlandt Manor) and Ashley Sears (Poughkeepsie).

Oneonta will play its only home matches of the fall season this weekend against Geneseo and Brockport.  The Red Dragons will face Geneseo on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and Brockport on Sunday beginning at 11:00 a.m.
