CORTLAND, ny - The SUNY Oneonta women's tennis team finally had an opportunity to open its season after being postponed last weekend. Unfortunately, the result was a season opening loss to rival Cortland in SUNYAC East Division Pool Play. The host Red Dragons won two of the three doubles points and then won five of the six singles points enroute to the 7-2 win.

Oneonta's wins can at third doubles and fifth singles today. Junior Elizabeth Flamman (Setauket) and freshman Lauren Skolnick (Sayville) teamed up to win at third doubles, 8-4. Flamman also won her match at fifth singles in a third-set super tiebreaker against Ariel Kelner, 6-4, 4-6, 10-8.
