     Junior #Troy Talbot (Brooklyn/The School for Legal Studies)# led four players in double figures with 15 points as SUNY Oneonta defeated SUNY Geneseo 71-57 tonight in SUNYAC men's action. Talbot scored all his points off the bench including 12 in the opening half of play.
     Oneonta (15-5/8-5) shot 54 percent from the field in the second half and finished the game at an even 46 percent. The Red Dragons hit 5-of-11 from behind the arc with junior #Brian Hooks (Cohoes/Shaker)# connecting on three and classmate #Shane Gillette (Hurley/Kingston)# hitting a pair. Hooks and Gillette both finished in double figures with 13 points and 10 points respectively.
     Geneseo (6-14/5-8) got as close as 50-46 with just under seven minutes remaining in the game, but could get no closer. Senior Brandon Simpson (Rochester/Wilson Magnet) led three Blue Knights in double figures with 17 points to go with his team high nine rebounds.
     The score was tied at 12 apiece at the 13:10 mark of the first half after a #Brian Beckford (Brooklyn/Christ the King)# basket. A layup by Talbot gave the Red Dragons the lead for good as they took a 33-22 lead at the break. Talbot outscored the Blue Knight's bench, who combined for six points.
     Oneonta will be at home tomorrow afternoon for a SUNYAC contest against Brockport beginning at 4:00 p.m.
