SCRANTON, PA—The SUNY Oneonta men's soccer team ended its regular season today on the road, falling to Scranton 2-1. Sophomore Dan Scott (Salt Point) scored in the 43rd minute with an assist from junior Jonathan Kowalski (Glens Falls), which tied the score at one goal apiece going into halftime. Scott's shot came from about 30 yards out as it was played back to him by Kowalski.

Early in the second half, Scranton's (6-10-1) Paul Trisuzzi broke the one all tie when he headed in a ball in the left corner of the goal on a corner kick served up by Bill McGuinness.

Oneonta's (11-4-3) next best shot attempts were from 25-30 yards out by Scott in the 65th minute, Nicholas Lange (Freeville) in the 66th minute, and Kowalski in the 74th minute, all of which were saved by Scranton goalie Justin Frick, who replaced starter Brandon Dombrowski at halftime.

Maxwell Siegelman (Roslyn Heights), who replaced Giancarlo Colasanti (Ottawa) at halftime, took the loss for the Red Dragons. Giancarlo made four saves in the first half while Siegelman made only one save in the second half.

Oneonta will now prepare for its semifinal match in the SUNYAC tournament on Friday, Nov. 5. The times and pairings have yet to be released from the conference office. Oneonta earned a share of the regular season title with Fredonia and Brockport, but earned the top seed by virtue of defeating both Fredonia and Brockport during the regular season.
