    The SUNY Oneonta women's tennis team made a clean sweep of visiting Elmira College today 9-0 to run its season record to 5-2 overall. Other than two singles sets that went to 7-5, the Red Dragons dominated en route to the victory in its home opener of 2009.
    The story of this match was Wlodarczyk sisters playing together in the same collegiate match for the first time. Senior Katie Wlodarczyk (Avoca/Avoca Central) (playing #1 doubles) and freshman twins Jen Wlodarczyk (Avoca/Avoca Central) and Christine Wlodarczyk (playing #3 doubles) each earned wins for Oneonta.
    Oneonta opened the competition by sweeping all three doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead. In singles, several of the Red Dragons played close sets, but were able to sweep all six singles matches in straight sets. The biggest win of the day came at #6 singles, where freshman Jackie Daly (Voorheesville/Voorheesville) defeated her opponent 6-1,6-1. Another impressive performance came from freshman Danielle Browarski (Colonie/Colonie), normally the #5 singles player in the line-up, winning 6-3, 6-1 playing up at #2 singles.
