Box Score The SUNY Oneonta volleyball team was defeated this evening in its final home match of 2009 by the visiting Bombers of Ithaca College, 3-1. The loss for the Red Dragons puts them back at the .500 mark with an overall record of 14-14 while Ithaca leaves town with a record of 17-13.

Kacy Boburka (Binghamton/Chenango Valley) led Oneonta's attack with 16 kills. Senior
Christine LaGuardia (Wappingers Falls/Arlington), playing in her final regular season home match, added nine kills and 15 digs.
Freshman
Brittany Calvello (Gloversville/Broadalbin-Perth) fueled the Red Dragons' attack with 37 assists while recording three blocks and eight digs.
Sophomore
Jessica Zerega (New City/Clarkstown) led the defense with 20 while classmate
Christina Fabiochi (Manorville/Eastport South Manor) added 16 digs.
Ithaca College's attack was led by senior Rachel Busch (N. Canton, OH/Hoover), who had 18 kills. Junior Tina Orlandini (Altadena, CA/Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy) led the defensive effort with 18 digs. Senior setter Corinna Doctor (Skaneateles/Skaneateles) had a team high 48 assists to go with nine digs.
Oneonta will compete in the second SUNYAC pool play weekend at Cortland beginning Friday with a pair of matches. The Red Dragons are in a three-way tie for first place in the East division at 3-1 with New Paltz and Cortland. The winner of the East division will host the conference tournament on Nov. 5-7.
