LEWISBURG, PA - The Oneonta women's track & field team sent part of the team to the Bucknell Outdoor Classic on Saturday, with the Red Dragons represented in six events. The unscored meet features athletes from Division I, II, and III institutions.
Junior Olivia Komacek (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) paced the Red Dragons in the 1,500-meter with a huge personal record of 4:52.77 to place 49th overall. She placed fourth overall in her heat as the top Division III finisher. Freshman Alex Friedel (Irondequoit, NY/Irondequoit) posted a personal record of 2:22.24 in the 800 and was fifth in her heat.
Sophomore Natalia Sweat (Newburgh, NY/Newburgh) crushed her 1.500 personal record in the women's invitational event, placing 29th at 4:33.59. The time currently ranks 15th in NCAA Division III.
Sophomore Jaiden Schrag (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley Central) took 20th in the long jump at 5.39 meters.
Senior Tarryn Herman (Franklinville, NY/Franklinville) went 11.47 meters in the shot put for 23rd, while sophomore Mackenzie Lawrence (Berne, NY/Berne-Knox) was 26th at 11.12 meters.
Oneonta continues the Bucknell Outdoor Classic on Sunday, April 12. Â
