UTICA, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's track & field team continued the weekend at the Utica Blue & Orange Invitational on Saturday. While there was no team scoring, the Red Dragons had solid individual success.
Freshman Summer Sayaves (Levittown, NY/General Douglas MacArthur) opened the day by winning the 3,000-meter with a personal best of 11:02.03. Freshman Lily Jacobs crossed 15th at 12:03.50.
In the 60-meter hurdles, junior Melinda Reid (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) placed 19th at 10.11.
Senior Keyla Mendoza (Freeport, NY/Freeport) took 31st in the mile with a personal record of 5:52.60.
The 800-meter saw freshman Alex Friedel (Irondequoit, NY/Irondequoit) finish tenth at 2:27.65. Senior Eva Woodworth (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) was 27th at 2:40.59.
Junior Eko Dodd-Brown (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) grabbed sixth in the long jump at a personal best and AARTFC qualifying mark of 5.35 meters. Junior Sophia Mitreski (Hawthorne, NJ/Hawthorne) took 37th in the weight throw at a personal best of 11.68 meters.
In the shot put, freshman Brianna Cinamon (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside) threw 10.55 meters for 15th overall. Sophomore Ashley LaReddola (Coram, NY/Longwood) took fourth in the pole vault at 2.91 meters.
Oneonta next competes at the Utica Fast Trax Invite on Saturday, February 14.
