BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's swimming & diving team started postseason action with the first day of the SUNYAC Championships on Wednesday afternoon. After two sessions, the Red Dragons stand fourth out of 9 teams with 78 points. Penn State Behrend leads with 104 points.
Oneonta began the day with the 200-yard medley relay, where the Red Dragons placed fourth. Senior Alli LaBarbera (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook), juniors Alexandria Bard (Duanesburg, NY/Duanesburg), Alaska Lilliock (Malone, NY/Franklin Academy), and freshman Sydney Richards (Rochester, NY/Ruben A. Cirillo) swam a time of 1:55.60.
In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the group of Mary Bush (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley), Bard, Richards, and LaBarbera placed fourth at 8:24.47.
The SUNYAC Championships continue on Thursday, February 19, at 10 a.m.
