ONEONTA, N.Y. - Following a standout freshman season, rising sophomore Jaiden Schrag (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley Central) was selected as an NCAA Division III Track & Field All-Academic Athlete as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday.
As an exercise science major, Schrag concluded the year with a 3.84 cumulative GPA.
Schrag wrapped up a stellar season on the track and was the SUNYAC Indoor Rookie of the Year, as well as the SUNYAC Rookie of the Meet in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. She was the SUNYAC champion in the 100 hurdles, and medalled in seven other conference events during the year.
To qualify individually, student-athletes must have recorded a GPA of 3.30 or higher and either been ranked among the top 50 in an individual event on TFRRS or competed on a top-35 ranked relay team.
