ONEONTA, N.Y. - Junior Jamie O'Neil (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) earned another post-season accolade after being named Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) Region 2 All-Region Honorable Mention at attack this week. He was named an All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) and USA Lacrosse earlier this year and was also the SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Year.
O'Neil led the conference this season in points (102) and assists (52) and was ranked third in goals (50). In SUNYAC play alone, the attackman was first in assists (17), second in points (39), and fourth in goals (22). O'Neil had four nine-point performances against Hartwick, Utica, Canton, and Potsdam. The junior scored a game-high six goals versus the Roos and a career-high seven assists against the Pioneers. O'Neil was also named to the SUNYAC All-Tournament team after he recorded five goals and five assists for 10 points in two games.
O'Neil will enter his senior year third all-time in program history with 142 goals and 210 points. He is sixth with 76 assists and is currently on pace to finish first in points per game (4.64), second in goals per game (3.02), and fifth in assists per game (1.62). Throughout his historic career so far, O'Neil has been named an All-American, three-time All-SUNYAC (twice on First Team), SUNYAC Player of the Year (2025), SUNYAC Rookie of the Year (2023), and SUNYAC All-Tournament Team. He has broken multiple program records and is on pace to break a few more.
Oneonta finished the season 9-10 overall, third in the SUNYAC at 5-2 and reached the SUNYAC tournament championship for the first time in 23 years. Individually, they had one All-American and SUNYAC Player of the Year, six named All-Conference, three selected to the All-Tournament team, and a SUNYAC Elite 20 recipient
