Red Dragons Head to Cortland Red Dragon Open

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's track & field team continued action at the Cortland Red Dragon Open on Friday afternoon.

The track events started with the 4x100 relay, where Jaiden Schrag (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley Central), Danielle Jackson (Bronx, NY/Central Park East), Brianna Senatore (/), and Nicolette DuBose (Levittown, NY/Island Trees) placed second with an AARTFC qualifying time of 49.48.

Schrag took fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at 15.02, and sophomore Eko Dodd-Brown (New Rochelle, NY/New Rochelle) crossed seventh at 16.36. DuBose finished third in the 100-meter dash at 12.66, and Jackson was fourth at 12.93.

Junior Ava Woodworth ran a 1:00.88 to take third in the 400-meter race. Senior Sage Douglass (Pine Plains, NY/Stissing Mountain) took ninth at 1:03.85.

Schrag was the top Division III finisher in the 400-meter hurdles at second overall with a 1:06.54.

Jackson ran a 26.57 to finish sixth in the 200-meter, and DuBose was eighth at 27.16.

Oneonta showed a strong performance in the field events as well. Junior Tarryn Herman (Franklinville, NY/Franklinville) took sixth in the hammer throw at 45.46 meters, and freshman Mackenzie Lawrence (Berne, NY/Berne-Knox) took eighth at 39.07 meters. Sophomore Sophia Mitreski (Hawthorne, NJ/Hawthorne) was ninth in the discus at 31.62 meters.

Douglass won the javelin at 34.08 meters, while Herman placed third at 27.92 meters.

Lawrence took sixth in the shot put at 10.48 meters, and freshman Wealthy Robinson (Utica, NY/Thomas R. Proctor) placed ninth at 10.48 meters.

Dodd-Brown was fourth in the long jump at 4.93 meters, while DuBose finished ninth at 4.57 meters.
