Barikyan Sets Pair of Program Records as Red Dragons Overpower Roos on the Road, 23-5

CANTON, N.Y. -- The Oneonta men's lacrosse team continued to outpace their conference opponents and defeated Canton on the road for a 23-5 SUNYAC win, Friday evening. The team jumped out to a 10-1 lead after the first quarter then cruised to the victory to improve to 5-6 overall and 2-0 in the SUNYAC, while the Roos dropped to 1-7 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.

Senior Stephen Barikyan (Tappan/Tappan Zee) broke two Red Dragon program records with faceoffs won and ground balls. After the Roos scored their first goal, Hnis netted his second of the game then assisted Krieg for the 10-1 advantage at the end of the first.
