ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The Oneonta women's tennis team dropped a pair of non-conference matches on the road against Union and Rochester last week. The Red Dragons were bested by both the Garnet Chargers and the Yellowjackets, 7-0, and moved to 5-11 overall this season.

Sophomore
Haley Peck (West Point, N.Y./James I. O'Neil) and freshman
Taylor Plue (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) were tripped up on the No. 1 doubles court by Claire Langille and Chara Meidani, 6-1. The duo of junior
Danielle Copp (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) and freshman
Annika Cripe (Islip, N.Y./Islip), and the pairing of junior
Kelly Hayes (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook) and freshman
Jaila Killingbeck (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) each fell, 6-2, on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts.
Peck was defeated in straight 6-1 sets against Skylar Semon on the No. 1 court. Copp and Killingbeck both fell 6-0, 6-1 on the No. 2 and No. 6 courts, respectively, and Hayes came up short on the No. 5 court, 6-2, 6-0.

Similar to their results against Union, Peck and Plue fell on the No. 1 court, 6-1, and the duo of Copp and Cripe, along with Hayes and Killingbeck, were bested on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts, 6-2.
Peck dropped the No. 1 singles match to Josephine Libby, 6-1, 6-2, while Copp came up short on the No. 2 court in a pair of 6-2 sets to Katie Yang. Cripe was bested in straight 6-1 sets on the No. 4 court, and Killingbeck was upended on the No. 6 court, 6-2, 6-0.
The Red Dragons return to action on Sunday, April 13, for a match at Saint Michael's at 1 pm.
