ONEONTA, N.Y. - After capping off a stellar indoor season, Oneonta women's track & field freshman Jaiden Schrag (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley Central) is the SUNYAC Rookie of the Year. Schrag medaled in three individual events and one relay at the SUNYAC Championships.

Schrag was the SUNYAC runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles, running a 9.12 in the finals. She ran a 9.01 in the prelims, the third fastest time in program history. Schrag earned All-SUNYAC Third Team honors in the long jump (5.33 meters) and the triple jump (10.86 meters). She also helped the Oneonta 4x400 relay earn bronze at 4:06.39. Schrag was selected the SUNYAC Women's Rookie of the Meet for her performance. 

Schrag placed first in the 60-meter hurdles three times and qualified for the AARTFC Championships in three events (60-meter hurdles, long jump, and 4x400).

Oneonta opens the outdoor season at the Utica Almost Spring Invite on Sun. Mar. 30.
