UTICA, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's track & field team continued action at the Utica Blue & Orange Invitational on Saturday, with the Red Dragons having solid performances in most events.
Freshman Jaiden Schrag (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley Central) reached the 60-meter hurdle finals after running 9.60 in the prelims. She finished second overall and was the top Division III finisher with a personal record 9.15. Sophomore Nicolette DuBose (Levittown, NY/Island Trees) took 11th in the 60-meter dash at 8.18.
Freshman Natalia Sweat (Newburgh, NY/Newburgh) ran a 5:12.85 in the mile to finish fifth overall. Senior Danielle Jackson (Bronx, NY/Central Park East) took ninth in the 400-meter race at 1:01.37 and was eighth in the 200-meter dash at 26.96.
Oneonta distance medley relay of Anna Kern (Central Valley, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), Sweat, Olivia Komacek (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro), and Gia Engel (Syosset, NY/Syosset) earned third at 13:57.63.
In the field events, Schrag placed 13th in the triple jump at 10.31 meters. She then grabbed 13th in the high jump by clearing 1.40 meters.
Junior Gabi Ragozzine (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) went for 14.54 meters to finish eighth in the weight throw. Junior Tarryn Herman (Franklinville, NY/Franklinville) was 15th with 13.60 meters.
Freshman Mackenzie Lawrence (Berne, NY/Berne-Knox) hit 11.64 meters to take ninth in the shot put, while Herman was tenth at 11.47 meters. Freshman Wealthy Robinson (Utica, NY/Thomas R. Proctor) threw 11.23 meters for 13th overall.
Oneonta next competes at the Nazareth DIII Elite Meet from Feb. 14-15.
