ONEONTA, N.Y. - After helping the Oneonta men's basketball team to a 3-0 week, sophomore Kobe Long (Rochester, NY/McQuaid) is the SUNYAC Player of the Week for Feb. 3.
Long averaged 19.7 points while shooting 54.8 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from three-point range. Long was a perfect 16-for-16 for free throws. He also averaged 3.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 0.7 steals. Long scored 23 points on 55.6 percent shooting in the 77-60 win over Canton. Long was 10-for-10 for free throws and made two steals.
Long matched his season-high with 23 points in the 83-79 win at Fredonia. He shot 57.1 percent, was 5-for-9 for threes, and dished out four assists. Long wrapped up the week with 13 points in the 60-54 win at Buffalo State. He also had six rebounds and five assists.
Oneonta returns to action to host Potsdam on Fri. Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
