ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The SUNYAC named No. 8 Oneonta wrestling freshman
Jackson Maby (Susquehanna, PA/Susquehanna Community) as the conference's Wrestling Rookie of the Week for February 10-16, last Monday. Maby wrapped up the 2024-25 season with seven SUNYAC Wrestler of the Week awards as the team finished the dual season 16-5.
Maby, who is currently ranked sixth in Region 2 at 141 lbs., beat No. 22 RIT's Josh Post, who is ranked eighth in Region 2, in a 4-2 decision. Maby's victory helped the Red Dragons defeat the Tigers in a dual, 24-20. The freshman is currently 23-2 in his first season with Oneonta.
The Red Dragons will bring 10 wrestlers to Lycoming College for the NCAA Region 2 qualifier. The two-day tournament starts on Saturday, March 1, at 10 am.
