Red Dragons Move to Fifth After Second Day of SUNYAC-AMCC Championships

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Oneonta women's swimming & diving team wrapped up the second day of the SUNYAC-AMCC Championships on Thursday evening at the Burt Flickinger Center. The Red Dragons moved one spot to fifth out of ten teams with 130 points. Cortland leads with 346 points.

Junior Allison LaBarbera (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) swam a personal record of 25.63 in the 50-yard freestyle prelims and then placed 15th in the finals at 25.84.

Senior Lena Nakken (Islip, NY/Islip) took 12th in the 500-yard freestyle after swimming a personal best of 5:29.57.

Freshman Alexis Gibson (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady) touched seventh in the 200-yard IM finals at 2:18.75.

Oneonta took fifth in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Gibson, LaBarbera, Nakken, and sophomore Laska Lilliock touched with a time of 1:43.14.

The Red Dragons continue day three of the SUNYAC-AMCC Championships on Fri. Feb. 21 at 10 a.m.
